Now, who doesn't love a sausage roll, flaky pastry, scrummy sausages, beans on the side, optional.
Ideal for parties, or a lunch time treat. Here is our recipe for Ultimate Sausage Rolls, we hope you love it! Our kids love these just as must as the grown ups.
As well as being delicious this recipe is incredibly simple, we’ve used shop bought puff pastry and butchers sausages.
Makes 8-16 rolls
Products that we used in this recipe:
MasterClass WestBlade Zester & Micro Grater
Professional Nylon Pastry Brush
Medium Anti-Bacterial Chopping Board
Ingredients:
350g puff pastry
500g sausages - we recommend Puddledub Auchtertool Original Sausages
4 tbsp ketchup
4 tbsp brown sauce
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp parmesan cheese, grated
Method:
Roll out your puff pastry into 2 long rectangles approximately 20cm wide by 40cm long, using plenty of flour to make sure nothing sticks.
Remove the sausages from their skins and place longways down the middle of the pastry.
Drizzle the dream team of ketchup and brown sauce on the sausages.
Crack your egg into a bowl and beat.
Brush the beaten egg along the long side of the pastry, then roll the pastry over to encase the sausage meat to make one large sausage roll.
Cut the rolls into portions, it’s up to you how big you want them! Go wild!
Place the sausage rolls onto a non stick baking tray and brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake in a pre-heated oven 180c for 15-20 minutes until golden and flaky.
Enjoy!
